EFA Call-out submission

The African Emerging Filmmakers Awards [AEFA] would like to invite filmmakers to submit their films for the 11th African Emerging Filmmakers Awards. The awards have been running for more than ten years, exposing new talent, promoting emergent filmmakers and serving as a networking platform for talent in film and television in South Africa first, and in the rest of the continent. The awards encourage collaborations for local filmmakers with their counterparts outside the country. The Awards Ceremony will be on the on the 25 the of November 2023 in the Grayville Racecourse. The film submissions' call out period opens on the 14th of September 2023 until the 14th of November 2023. 

Some of the nominated films will be screened in the Mzansi Reel Film Festival which will take place between the 17th to the 19th of February 2024. Films can be either hand delivered -during office hours- or sent via post to Durban Film Office, 41 Margaret Mncadi Avenue, Rennie House, 11thFloor no later than the 10th of November 2023.
